Design

The Ford C 11 was originally designed as a civilian car and it was converted into a military vehicle in 1942.1 Rifle racks were installed, map holders, first aid equipment, stronger bumpers, roof rack, and other military tools.1

There were four doors with a split rear door.1

The Ford C 11 had the drive controls on the right to conform to British use.1

Variants

  • Ford C 11 ADF:
  • Ford C 11 A 5: Could carry seven passengers.1 The luggage space was removed to allow for the two additional passengers.1
  • Ford C 11 ?: Based on the Ford's 1941 chassis.1 It was 200 lb / 91 kg heavier.1 The radiator and body style were slightly different.1 Some had racks for carrying fuel and water cans.1
