Japan's Type 5 Chi-Ri

Design

The Type 5 Chi-Ri was to have an 88 mm gun in the turret and a 37 mm gun in the hull.3 The BMW aircraft engine (550 HP) was to provide power.3

Developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. This was a lengthened Type 4 Chi-To.

Was at prototype stage when the war ended.2

Prototype

A single prototype without main armament was completed in May 1945.3
