Design
The BBT came up with a design that was inspired by the American Christie design.2
The 10 TP was to be the main vehicle of the mechanized cavalry.2
Prototype
The 10 TP prototype was built in 1938.2
A partially completed 14 TP prototype was destroyed in September 1939.2
Production
Variants
- 10TP: The engineers decided to design their own version. The prototype appeared in 1937. Never entered production. Had same turret as the 7TP and an additional MG in the hull front. Was steered by the front set of 4 sets of roadwheels. When running on wheels the transmission was linked to the rear pair of wheels.
- 14TP: Medium tank that only ran on road wheels. It could get 31 mph with a German Maybach 12 cylinder engine. It weighed 14,000 kg. Never entered production.
