United States' Northrop A-17 attack
Design
The Northrop A-17's design was based on the Gamma and Delta civilian planes.1 The A-17 was Northrop's first military aircraft.1
Prototype
An order for 110 was placed after the prototype was done being tested.1
Production
Production was delayed because two types of engines were replaced before settling on the production model.1
