Design

The LVT-4 had the engine moved to the front and a ramp was installed in the rear of the cargo area.2

The LVT-4 could carry troops or weapons up to a 105 mm howitzer.2

Usage

Used in Europe by US Army.

Britain received 500 via lend lease. Used them in Northern Italy and at the Rhine crossing in 1945.
