United States' Dodge WC62 3/4 Ton truck
Design
The Dodge WC62 was to be used in conjunction with the Dodge T214 WC52 weapons carrier.1 It was to carry more cargo or soldiers.1 A third axle was added and the rear cargo area lengthened.1
Performance
It was found that the WC62 was very stable with its low center of gravity.1 The WC62 had a high ground clearance and allowed for good performance over rough terrain.1
Standardization
Parts from the WC52 and the WC62 were to be interchangeable as much as possible.1
Armament
Some of the WC62s had a mount, located on the passenger side, that held a 12.7 mm machine-gun.1
